I woke up while on holiday at 3 a.m. on 3rd January 2005 with the idea of starting a fun product range of Feelgood pro South African merchandise like T-shirts, hoodies, button badges, posters and bumper stickers, mousepads, mugs, and many many others as there seems little similar ranges available. I believed then and still do that there are millions of people who feel the way I do, proud of South Africa and will wear and display their feeling openly. |

I also saw this as a way of generating money to help those less fortunate by donating 10% of our sales to selected charities and empowering vendors to run a small business selling our goods. I formed the caption and layout concept and drew the pictures as stick figures as I don't have much artistic ability. Fortunately Greg has exceptional talent and we soon had the design that we were happy with. I believe that we have unique and fun art, that both locals and visitors would love to have. My backround includes growing up in Orange Grove, Jhb, matriculating at John Orr Technical High School in 1979. I have studied and worked as an aircraft mechanic, industrial engineer, production & factory manager as well as in sales in the financial services industry.
We welcome shops and other distributors to contact us to market our goods.

When Saville showed me his original concept I was excited by the simplicity and depth of possibilities. Although the original idea was to be single colour stick figures... I felt that would not do justice to our “rainbow nation”. Once introduced to the art department I could feel the enthusiasm growing day by day as we developed the style using the most simple of mediums,(in keeping with the original idea) after hundreds of drawings we finally had 12 we were happy with, Scanned them to computer, began the colorization and the visuals came to life. |

I believe all South Africans should be proud and I hope that we will strive together and make the positive changes needed to create a meaningful future for all. I am truly proud to be part of this campaign Greg Bassett |
